Theodore Roosevelt
Being in your comfort zone is, by definition, comfortable, but it's also rarely, if ever, exciting. Your comfort zone is your enemy. It's time to get comfortable being uncomfortable. Life will give you plenty of reasons to push you out of your comfort zone. So, you have one of two options: either commit to constant growth and feeling discomfort on your own accord and you become the master of your own destiny or you hand over the keys and let life happen to you, by default. One path leads to success and the other path leads to constant struggle and pain. It's your choice!
Now you're probably wondering where on earth do I start to try and get out of my comfort zone. It's all about taking small steps and setting personal goals. Choose an activity that scares you but also gives you that adrenaline rush. Acknowledge your fears. Envision yourself doing that activity. Research the environment and purchase the right gear for that activity. Health and Safety is paramount. Think of the rewards and benefits that will come from doing that new activity.
Stepping out of your comfort zone does involve learning new things, meeting new people, seeing new places, and trying new experiences. All of these can serve to help expand your awareness of the world and how you fit into it and may introduce you to new interests. Remember by stepping outside of your comfort zone often, you’ll learn more about yourself and gain more control over how you want your life to look like and what you want to do with it.
Admittedly, trying out something new can be challenging. But fear not, embrace the challenge. It won't be easy but if you stay true to yourself it will be worth it in the end and once you've done it once, there will be no stopping you!
ARE YOU FLYING SOLO?
Sometimes it can be quite overwhelming and daunting going at it alone. Whether you have chosen to try out a new sports activity or chosen to do an active adventure that encompasses both. You have that sense of fear of people judging you or the belief that you're not capable of doing it and even worrying about all the things that could possibly go wrong. My advice to you if you're having any of these negative thoughts is to be a warrior not a worrier. It’s all about having the right mindset and believing anything you set your mind to is possible.
They say the hardest walk is walking alone, but it's also the walk that makes you the strongest and defines who you are as a person. You must remember we were born into this world on our own and we will leave this world on our own. There is absolutely no shame in doing things alone. Why should trying a new sports activity or going on an active adventure stop you from achieving your goals. There seems to be a general misconception that everybody needs someone but that’s not true at all. People come and go, some are with us for a season, others for a lifetime that’s just the way the world works. You just need to decide who belongs in which one. Besides, if you can’t learn to do things by yourself, how are you going to cope looking after somebody else. Go work on you, have fun, make memories and enjoy yourself!
You have been given one life to live and sometimes you have to stop being scared and just go for it. Throw yourself out there, don’t think about the what ifs’ just do it. Be adventurous. Either it will work out or it won't. That's just life but at least you will have tried something new and gained experience from it. Risk is better than regret. Remember the world is your oyster and nothing beats exploring the great outdoors!

"A lion's strength is not just in its body but in its spirit and determination."
"Let the lion within you roar, and unleash your confidence and courage to the world."
"Be bold and fearless like a lion, for within you lies the strength to lead and inspire."
"The hardest walk you can make, is the walk you make alone, but that is the walk that makes you the strongest."
